this publication was published annually between 2002 and 2006 as a hybrid between artists book and exhibition space.
Each edition was an attempt to create an autonomous space for a collection of curated works in a space that could exist with longer shelf-life in both private and public contexts. Working with the idea of the page as site-specific medium and excluding features typical to magazine publishing such as advertising, reviewing and documentation of work, Guestroom regularly included elements that could be taken out of the publication, audio and video work on accompanying CDs or DVDs or poster fold-outs.
